Halifax is a total gem on the East Coast
The waterfront alone is worth the trip. Loved walking along the Halifax Boardwalk - so much to see and the seafood is fresh and delicious. Lobster rolls everywhere and every single one was great.
Cool city with a lot of history packed in
The Citadel Hill is genuinely impressive and the views over the city from up there are really something. Halifax has this lived-in, real feel to it that a lot of cities lose. People were super welcoming and easy to talk to.
Great spot for a long weekend escape
Stayed a few nights and loved every bit of it. The North End neighbourhood has brilliant independent cafes and little shops. Food scene is punching well above its weight for a city this size. Really easy to get around on foot too.
Didn't want to leave this place
Halifax has such a genuine, down-to-earth feel. The Propeller Brewery is a must if you like craft beer. Donairs are a local thing and they are absolutely worth trying. Friendly locals, great food, solid city all round.
Loved the maritime side of this city
The harbour ferry across to Dartmouth is a cheap and easy way to see the city from the water. Peggys Cove was a short drive away and completely stunning. Halifax is small enough to feel relaxed but there's always something to do.
Solid city break with great food and history
Ate my way through the waterfront restaurants and zero regrets. The Alexander Keith's Brewery tour was fun and genuinely interesting. Halifax moves at a nice pace and the locals make you feel right at home from day one.
